 Welcome at the website of the largest and nicest students handball association of the Netherlands. Welcome at the site of the Cirkeltijgers! We are the nicest, craziest and most pleasant student’s handball association in Groningen!! (…and also the only one). The Cirkeltijgers was founded in 1963. The ‘CT’ consists of approximately 70 members. We've got both a men and a women team playing Sunday competition and both a men and a women team playing midweek competition (mostly on Tuesday or Wednesday). Next to members playing competition we've got many members who just enjoy our practises. Besides playing handball we have a very active third half, as should be expected of a students association. Every first Thursday of the month we have a drink at our favourite bar De Koster and we organize a lot of activities. We celebrate St. Nicolas Dutch style, on Valentine’s day we have a blind date diner and every year we go to some great handball tournament abroad and to tournaments that other student handball organizations in the Netherlands organise. We also organise an international tournament ourselves, here in Groningen. More information about the Cirkeltijgers tournament you can find here. In the ‘agenda’, at the right on this page, you can find an overview of the activities we will organise in the upcoming period. If you would like to join us for a practise you are always welcome.
